Bluestone Botanical DAHLIA seeds - "APPALACHAIN MAGIC" mix

Yes, dahlias can be grown from seed! But it truly is "like a box of chocolates" because you really will never know what you're gonna get!  Every seed is a completely new dahlia never grown before... it may or may not look anything like its parent plants.  The majority of seeds will be simple, open-center (like a daisy flower).  But, that's the fun of it!  You may end up with the next best "Cafe Au Lait" dahlia!  

I grew over 800 dahlia seedlings last year and most were like I mentioned (daisy-like)... but, I also grew some GORGEOUS ones that just made me want to cry with their beauty!!!!  Each day was so special walking through the garden and seeing a brand new bloom waiting for me.   It gets addictive!   

The seeds will grow into tubers and you can dig them up just like your other dahlias.  Treat them like your "real" tubers and store for the next growing season.  I'd LOVE for you to share photos of your beautiful dahlias growing in your own garden.   

My seeds are open-pollinated which means the bees did all the work for me.  I grew over 1000 different dahlias so I don't even know how many possibilities that adds up to.... I'm thinking the sun and rich dirt in the Appalachain Mountains where they were harvested will be a recipe for some amazing new dahlias to grow and share!!!
